reconstructed models (Columbus Center Bremerhaven)

The solo exhibition Aktivitätszonen focused on the „Columbus Center“, a landmark building of Bremerhaven. I examined this center as a carrier of visions and reorientation of urban planning in Bremerhaven in the 1970s, and how this building is used in 2017. In this work I combine archival material from when it was planned and constructed with on-site observations of the actual present status and use of the building.

I reconstruct the three winning models from the competition (Ideenwettbewerb) from 1971.
